The Tigrinus is a truly iconic catfish species. They are large-growing and beautifully marked. With their distinctive striped tiger pattern, impressive dorsal fin, and extremely long streamers, they are a beautiful and distinctive aquarium addition.
Size: 3-4"
Mature Size: Approx 24-28"
Feeding: Anchor Essentials Catfish Pellets, Anchor Essentials Bloodworm Ministicks, Frozen Bloodworms.
Tank and Environment: 40 Gallon at Current Size, XXL Tank as Adults.
Considerations: Tankmates should be chosen with care as they will eat any fish small enough to fit in their mouths. Otherwise, the Tigrinus makes a fairly passive addition to your aquarium. They do not like to be pestered by other fish and will often have difficulty competing with them for food.
