Cross River Puffer – Tetraodon Pustulatus

THE HOLY GRAIL!  The Tetraodon Pustulatus is a species of pure freshwater pufferfish, from the genus Tetraodon, which is endemic to a small area in Africa.

Size: Approx 4-5″

Mature Size: Approx 18″

Tank and Environment:  (55 Gal at Current Size.  XXL tank at full size)

Feeding: Anchor Essentials Freeze Dried Krill, frozen clams on a half shell, and frozen market shrimp.

Considerations:  The Cross River Puffer is a gorgeous and interactive addition to the aquarium.  With sharp incisors it is important to occasionally include shells in the puffers diet so that he will keep his teeth trimmed.  Small slow moving tank mates could be an issue.  We recommend making the pufferfish the focal point of the aquarium and putting smaller fast moving species along with them.
