Albino Short Body Gibbiceps Pleco-– Glyptoperichthys Gibbiceps

The Short Body Gibbiceps Pleco has a very distinct stunted white body with a sailfin.  They are a very hardy species of Pleco that also does a tremendous amount of work in the aquarium eating algae.  They are native to South America but the short body variants are specially bred.

Size: Approx 3-4”

Mature Size: Approx 6” +

Feeding: Spirulina Pellets, Algae Wafers, Sinking Krill Pro.

Tank and Environment: Medium to Large (55+ Gallon)

Considerations:  This is a bottom dwelling species that will also use its rubber like mouth to attach to various objects in the aquarium.   Gibbiceps plecos do an excellent job of eating algae.   They are also generally peaceful and blend well into most aquaria.  They appreciate driftwood and cover in the aquarium.
