The AirPlex 500 air pump (also known as the Hurricane Cat 5) is an AC/DC auto-switching dual outlet air pump. It is equipped with a 6v SLA battery, enabling it to automatically flip to backup power when the house current goes out. This battery can be swapped out for 4 standard D-cells for continued use after it is exhausted.
