The Firewood Catfish is a rare and highly sought after species from South America. They are a sharp blend of white, black, and brown/grey with a sleek body type. Locals will sometimes dry them and use them as firewood in their native country hence the name “Firewood Catfish”.

Mature Size: Approx 24”+
Feeding: Northfin Carnivore Pellets, Frozen Blood Worms, Sinking Northfin Krill Pro Pellets.
Tank and Environment: Medium to Large aquarium as juveniles (40+ Gallon). XL Tank as adults.
Considerations: Planiceps Catfish will swallow smaller tank mates but otherwise do not typically behave aggressively.
