The Red Phoenix Barb is a fast moving, colorful, schooling species that will certainly add a lot of action to your aquarium. Their shiny coloration, pronounced scales and red fins make them an attractive addition to any fish tank.  As juveniles these are primarily silver with a black horizontal line but as they age their fins and face develop incredible red coloration.  The batch we currently have is right on the cusp of changing into adult coloration.  

Size: Approx 3.5 - 5”

Mature Size: Approx 18"

Feeding:  Anchor Essentials Bloodworm Bonanza Flakes, Anchor Essentials Shrimp Pellets, Anchor Essentials High Octane Pellets.

Tank and Environment: large sized aquarium  

Considerations: Commonly utilized as dither fish to distract predators, they are popular additions to semi aggressive and even aggressive aquariums.  They are fast moving and tight schooling.   Do not put them in tanks with live plants.
