The Electric Catfish is a fascinating species that is capable of generating electricity.  Their electric organs are used to create a pulse, which assists them with communicating, hunting, and navigating.  They have an elongated body with ornate coloration.

Feeding:  Northfin carnivore pellets, Frozen bloodworms, Anchor Essentials Catfish Pellets

Tank and Environment: medium or large sized aquarium  (55+ gallons)

Considerations: Like virtually all catfish, the Electric Catfish will swallow small tank mates that fit in his mouth. They are capable of generating electricity and should not be handled.
