A true monster in the making……the Atlantic Tarpon can reach an astonishing size in adulthood.  An incredibly powerful strike and large armored scales make this a very impressive specimen for the home aquarium.

Size: Approx 3-4”

Mature Size: Approx 36+”

Feeding: Anchor Essentials Freeze Dried Krill, Cut Fish/Shrimp

Tank and Environment: Large aquarium (75-90 Gallon as juvenile, XXXL as adult)

Considerations: The Atlantic Tarpon is an active species with a big appetite!  Smaller tank mates that fit in the Tarpons mouth will be on the menu so please add them with caution.  If the Tarpon is unable to swallow its prey it will generally leave it alone.  Atlantic Tarpon can tolerate freshwater and brackish/salt water.  These are being kept in 100% freshwater.
