The Porthole Shovelnose Catfish is a rare and highly sought after species of catfish from South America. Its distinct ornate coloration make it a wonderful aquarium addition.

Feeding: Anchor Essentials Catfish Pellets, Frozen Bloodworms, Frozen Mysis Shrimp.
Tank and Environment: Medium sized aquarium at current size (55 gallon)
Considerations: The Porthole or Spotted shovelnose is predatory not unlike other shovelnose catfish species. These do not get as large as others but will still need a very large aquarium for long term care.
